The Governor and Mr Howard are delighted to invite visitors to a special free event at Government House produced in collaboration with the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts on Tuesday 16 May.
The Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Linda Dessau AC CVO, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC invite members of the public to a special free event at Government House Victoria, produced in collaboration with the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) on Tuesday 16 May 2023.
The Victorian College of the Arts is known internationally as a leading tertiary institution for artistic invention. It brings together an extensive range of creative disciplines, including Dance, Film and Television, Music Theatre, Design, Production, Theatre, and Visual Art and has a proven track record of developing the change-makers of the future.
From contemporary dance to musical theatre numbers and classical opera pieces, the Governor and Mr Howard look forward to welcoming you to this exciting Variety Show event in the Government House Victoria Ballroom.
Event information and entry requirements:
- Attendance is free, but registration is essential.
- Photographic identification is required to gain entry for persons aged above 18.
- Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- Please register each person attending, including children.
- All attendees will be required to undergo security screening involving wanding and bag checks on arrival.
- Gates open at 5.30pm. Official Proceedings commence at 6.30pm.
- Light refreshments will be served following the Variety Show. Event concludes at approximately 8.00pm.
- Entrance to Government House is via Government House Drive, off St Kilda Road.
- Parking is not available within the grounds of Government House.
- Guests may be photographed during the event and photos may be published online.
