Getting out and about - virtually
Last week, the Governor conducted a ‘virtual visit’ to Victoria’s Parliament House, enabling her to continue to reach out and connect with Victorians, while maintaining the current physical distancing requirements.
The visit to Parliament saw the Governor tour the large kitchen at Parliament House Victoria, which has been repurposed and is currently assisting in providing nutritious meals to vulnerable members of the community during the COVID-19 crisis. The program means that fit-for-purpose commercial kitchens can provide up to 2,000 meals a day for the needy, and ensuring that the many staff who usually work within the kitchens are able to maintain their employment.
More information on this program can be found on the Parliament of Victoria website
