The Governor and Mr Howard host His Excellency Mr Ram Kovind, President of India, and Mrs Savita Kovind.
The Hon. Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a visit to Government House Melbourne by His Excellency Mr Ram Kovind, President of India, and Mrs Savita Kovind.
In addition to a meeting where the Governor and the President discussed the many subjects of common interest and opportunities for close cooperation between Victoria and India, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a luncheon in honour of the visiting President and his wife, and a wide cross section of Victorians with an interest in India.
Last month, the Governor and Mr Howard toured India as part of an Official Visit at the request of the Premier, in order to further strengthen the relationship between Victoria and India. That visit saw them visit the cities of Bengalaru, New Delhi and Hyderabad, meeting with representatives of many industries and sectors which have a close interest in working with Victoria.
