Given this, Government House will no longer be open to the public on Saturday 24 July 2021.
The Governor and Mr Howard were very much looking forward to hosting this event, and to welcoming you to Government House.

Open House Melbourne 2020
As part of Open House Melbourne 2020, a live tour was broadcast online via our website.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC and her husband, Mr Howard AM QC conducted a live tour of the State Apartments at Government House including the State Hall, State Drawing Room and Ballroom. The State Apartments are where most State and community events are held at Government House.
The tour was broadcast as part of the annual Open House Melbourne weekend in July, which last year was reimagined into a virtual festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Governor and Mr Howard's tour can be found on our website on this page.
