The Governor presided at a meeting of Executive Council and later attended the ceremony to remove the floral tributes from Bourke Street Memorial. The Governor received the call of Mr James Carouso, USA Chargéd'Affaires,and later the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC attended a dinner to mark the retirement of Major General David McLachlan AO (Ret'd) as State President of the RSL.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted the Multi-Faith Opening of the Legal Year.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC attended the 2017 Australian Open Men's Singles Final.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC attended the 2017 Australian Open Women's Singles Final.
The Governor presided at a Special Meeting of the Executive Council.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, delivered the Australia Day address and attended the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Melbourne Town Hall. The Governor and Mr Howard hosted Open Day for members of the public at Government House.
The Governor attended the ABC Studios for an interview with Mr Jon Faine, and later, received the call of Mr Tony Ellwood, Director, National Gallery of Victoria.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC laid flowers at the Memorial for victims of the Bourke Street tragedy and signed the condolence book. Later, the Governor spoke at the Vigil at Federation Square. In the evening, The Governor and Mr Howard hosted the Australia Day Reception
The Governor received the call of His Excellency Mr Nadjib Riphat Kesoema, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Australia, and Mrs Nino Nadjip Riphat.
The Governor received the call of Mr John Harnden AM, Chair, and Mr Andrew Westacott, CEO, of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, and later attended the official Australia Day luncheon.
