On 16 November 2025, the Governor departed on an Official Visit to Malaysia and Indonesia at the request of the Victorian Government.
The visit will see the Governor travel to Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta with a busy program of engagements across two weeks.
Engagements will cover a range of priority sectors including infrastructure development, educational and cultural exchange, and healthcare.
Victoria has prioritised strengthening its relationship with Southeast Asia and has Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) offices located in both Indonesia and Malaysia.
International engagement has been a successive key responsibility of Governors of Victoria, and one that requires overseas travel with the support of the Government.
The purpose of these official visits complements international engagement at home by strengthening relationships, opening doors for Victorian businesses, and promoting the State’s economic, social and cultural interests.
Details of the Governor’s program(opens in a new window) will be published as official engagements are completed.
