The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the welcome call of Colin Crosby, Consul General, and Alisa Modica, Political-Economic Chief, Consulate General of the United States of America.
Later, the Governor hosted an afternoon tea to mark the 25th anniversary of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.
Following this, the Governor received the call of the Honourable Ben Carroll, Premier of Victoria.
Tuesday, 4 August
The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding over a ministerial swearing-in ceremony for the Carroll Government.
In the evening, the Governor, as Deputy Prior of the Order of St John (Victoria) and Dame of Grace, presided over an investiture ceremony for the admission and promotion of members of the Order of St John, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.
Monday, 3 August
In the morning at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments with the National Trust.
