The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation, where she met with Rabbi Shlomo Nathanson, Quentin Miller, President and other senior members of the Congregation. Following this, the Governor on behalf of the people of Victoria, laid a wreath of condolence in tribute to the victims of the Bondi Beach attack.

In the morning at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the gardens.

In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, hosted the sixth session of the Understanding Victoria Discussion Series, '"...From all the lands on earth we come"? The development of immigration policy from 1945 to 1970s.'

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Then, the Governor, as Patron, visited the Women of the University Fund, where she received a briefing by Susan Beale, Honorary Secretary. Following the briefing, the Governor met with WUF members and volunteers over morning tea.

In the evening, the Governor hosted a Christmas reception for members of the Consular Corps, where she gave an address to mark the occasion.

In the morning, Lieutenant Natasha Ellis, represented the Governor at the State Memorial Service for Allan Moffat OBE.

In the morning at Government House, graduates of the Department of Premier and Cabinet and Department of Government Services Graduate Program’s visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

In the afternoon at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided twilight tour of the gardens.

Concluding a Regional Visit of Southern Grampians Shire, The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited Sustainable Plastic Solutions, where she was met by Matthew Nettleton, Chief Executive Officer and Elisha Nettleton, Manager, Research and Development and Quality Control, Sustainable Plastic Solutions, before receiving a briefing, touring the factory floor, and viewing a demonstration of the methods used to transform recycled plastic waste into furniture products.

Commencing a Regional Visit of Southern Grampians Shire, The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, met with Councillor Dennis Heslin, Mayor, Southern Grampians Shire Council, before receiving a briefing from Councillors and the Council Executive.

Then, the Governor attended a morning tea at the Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning, where she met and heard from local farmers and CFA volunteers.

Following this, the Governor visited Nigretta of Hamilton, a division of are-able Social Enterprises, where she was met by Frances Sanders, Chief Executive Officer, are-able Social Enterprises, before receiving a briefing and tour of the supported employment service facility, where she met with staff.

In the afternoon, the Governor made a visit to Hamilton and Alexandra College, Hamilton Senior Campus, where she was met by Dr Michael Horne, Principal, before being escorted on a tour of the senior campus, where she met with staff and students. Then, the Governor attended the opening of the Wilma Hearn Equestrian Arena, Hamilton and Alexandra College, Myrniong (Junior) Campus, where she officially reopened the equestrian arena and delivered an address to mark the occasion.

Later, the Governor visited Waltanna Farms, where she met with Mike and Bronnie Nagorcka, Owners Waltanna Farms Group, before being escorted on a tour of Waltanna Farms’ food production facilities and receiving a briefing from farm executives and former owners.

In the evening, the Governor attended a Civic Reception hosted by Southern Grampians Shire Council, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.

Continuing a Regional Visit to Glenelg Shire, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the Port of Portland, where she was met by Greg Burgoyne, CEO, Port of Portland, before receiving a briefing from senior executives and a tour of the facility.

Following this, the Governor visited Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre and Budj Bim Cultural Landscape, where she was met by Erin Rose, CEO, Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation and Troy Lovett, Budj Bim World Heritage Executive Officer, before touring the Kurtonitj Indigenous Protected Area and Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre.

Concluding a Regional Visit to Glenelg Shire, the Governor visited the historic Warrock Homestead, where she met with Scott Farquharson, before receiving a briefing and touring the site.

Later, the Governor departed Glenelg Shire for Southern Grampians Shire.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following this, the Governor commenced a Regional Visit of Glenelg Shire, where she met with Councillor Karen Stephens, Mayor, Glenelg Shire Council, before receiving a briefing from Councillors and the Council Executive.

Then, the Governor toured the Portland Botanic Gardens, where she was met my Adam May, Senior Horticulturist, before touring the gardens and planting a commemorative tree marking the visit.

In the evening, the Governor attended a Civic Reception hosted by Glenelg Shire Council, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.

In the morning at Government House, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, hosted the United Nations Association of Australia Victoria 80th Anniversary Model UN where he gave an address to mark the occasion.

Following this, the Governor visited Yarra Valley Cherries where she met with Andrew Fairley AM and Natasha Bowness, before receiving a briefing and tour of the orchard.

Then, the Governor visited Coranderrk Bushland Reserve where she met with Murrundindi, Wurundjeri Elder, Dr Jennifer Gray AM PSM, CEO, Zoos Victoria, Ross Williamson, Director, Healesville Sanctuary, and Lisa Stuart, Coranderrk Ranger. The Governor planted a tree in recognition of Murrindindi’s work.

In the evening, the Governor hosted a reception to mark the 10th Anniversary of Infrastructure Victoria, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.

In the morning at Government House, participants from Cranbourne and Fleetwood Primary Schools visited for the Kitchen Garden Program.

In the afternoon, interns from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra visited Government House for a guided tour of the State Apartments.
