While on an Official Visit to Indonesia, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, attended a performance by alumni of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s Indonesia workshop program.
In the afternoon, the Governor met with Professor Dr Ova Emilia, Rector of the University of Gadjah Mada, before delivering a keynote address on international partnerships and education collaboration to students and members of faculty.
Following this, the Governor attended the announcement of the new ‘Human Flourishing Hub’ between the University of Gadjah Mada and the Australian Catholic University, before visiting the university’s Faculty of Medicine where she received briefings on current research projects with Victorian universities.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC concluded her Official Visit to Malaysia and departed on an Official Visit to Indonesia.
Upon arrival in Indonesia, the Governor visited Kalisonggo State Primary School in Yogyakarta, where she met with Muhammad Nur Rizal, Founder of the Joyful School Movement, to learn more about the program and its links with Victorian primary schools.
In the afternoon, the Governor met with His Majesty Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, Governor of Yogyakarta. Following this, the Governor witnessed the signing and execution of the new Victoria-Yogyakarta Memorandum of Understanding before attending a dinner hosted by the Sultan at the Kraton.

While on an Official Visit to Malaysia, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, visited a project site operated by Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), where they met with Tan Sri Mohamad Salim bin Fateh Din, Executive Vice Chairman, before receiving a briefing and being escorted on a tour of facilities.
Then, the Governor and Professor Davis arrived at the Ministry of Higher Education where they met with Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr Zambry bin Abdul Kadir, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education and senior officials.
Later, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Merdeka 118 Tower, the world’s second largest tower, designed by Melbourne architecture firm FK Australia where they received a briefing on the project and toured the site.
In the morning at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

While on an Official Visit to Malaysia, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, met with Her Excellency Danielle Heinecke, Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, and representatives from the Australian High Commission.
Following this, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Monash University Malaysia Sunway campus, where they met with Professor Dato' Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman, President and Pro Vice Chancellor, Monash University Malaysia, before the Governor opened the new library and received a briefing on the university’s expansion with the creation of a new campus.
In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Davis, was the guest of honour at an Alumni Reception at the residence of the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, where the Governor addressed an audience of business stakeholders, alumni, and members of the Australian and Victorian community in Kuala Lumpur.
In Victoria, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the morning at Government House, participants from Cranbourne and Fleetwood Primary School Community Hubs visited for the Kitchen Garden Program.

While on an Official Visit to Malaysia, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, received a briefing from Her Excellency Danielle Heinecke, Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia.
Following this, the Governor and Professor Davis met with Yang Berhormat Tuan Gobind Singh Deo MP, Malaysian Minister of Digital.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Professor Davis met with Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari, Premier of Selangor.
Later, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Australian High Commission, where the Governor participated in the unveiling ceremony of an Australian indigenous mural artwork and delivered an address to mark the occasion.
Whilst at the High Commission, the Governor met with Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Malaysian Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture.
Then, the Governor and Professor Davis met with representatives of the City of Kuala Lumpur.
In the morning at Government House, members of Regis Aged Care Blackburn visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, attended the opening night of Opera Australia’s 'Carmen' at the Regent Theatre.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, presided over a ceremony for the signing of the Statewide Treaty Bill by the Government of Victoria. Then, the Governor provided Royal Assent to the Statewide Treaty Bill, before hosting a reception, where she gave an address to mark the occasion.
In the afternoon, the Governor received a briefing from Jason Loos, Deputy Secretary, Economic Policy and State Productivity, and Rob Holland, Executive Director, Economic Development and International, Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Then, to mark the conclusion of their official visit to Government House, the Governor invited Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence to sign the Guest Book.
Later, the Governor attended the 2025 Victorian State Remembrance Service where she met with Captain Stephen Bowater OAM, Chair, Shrine of Remembrance Trustees, the Honourable Jacinta Allan MP, Premier of Victoria, and the Honourable Andrew Giles MP, representing the Prime Minister of Australia, before conducting an inspection of the Australian Defence Force Tri-Service Guard.
Following this, the Governor laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Victoria and delivered the annual Remembrance Day Address.
In the afternoon, the Governor welcomed Kitchen Garden Program participants from Cranbourne and Fleetwood Primary Schools to Government House.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC and Professor Glyn Davis AC, accompanied by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, attended a Service of Remembrance at the Victoria Police Memorial. The Governor and HRH The Princess Royal laid wreaths in honour of the Victorian Police Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in Porepunkah on 26 August 2025.
In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Davis and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, attended a Ceremonial Tree Planting by HRH The Princess Royal in the grounds of Government House.
Following this, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Davis, hosted a reception and dinner to mark the Centenary of The Royal Australian Corps of Signals in the presence of their Colonel-in-Chief HRH The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.
In the morning at Government House, members of Roxburgh Rise Primary School Mothers visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

Later, the Governor hosted a lunch in honour of the visit to Victoria of Madam Zhang Yizhen, Chairwoman, Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and her delegation.
Following this, the Governor received the virtual call of Her Excellency Tiffancy McDonald, Ambassador to ASEAN, and Naïla Mazzucco, Commissioner for Southeast Asia.
In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, attended the 2026 Victorian Australian of the Year Awards, where she gave an address and presented awards to finalists and winners in the four categories: Australian of the Year for Victoria, Senior Australian of the Year for Victoria, Young Australian of the Year for Victoria and Local Hero for Victoria.
