In the afternoon, the Governor hosted a reception for the 2026 Victorian Youth Parliament, marking their 40th anniversary, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.

In the morning at Government House, participants from Dallas Neighbourhood House visited for the Kitchen Garden Program.

Thursday, 25 June

Continuing a Regional Visit of Horsham Rural City, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the SEC Renewable Energy Park, where she was met by Lane Crockett, Executive General Manager, Assets, State Electricity Commission, before being escorted on a tour of the facility and meeting with staff and apprentices working on the project.

Following this, the Governor visited the Farm Frites construction site, where she was met by Kieran Prestidge, General Manager, Farm Frites Australia, before receiving a briefing on the project and viewing the site.

Then, the Governor visited the SCT Logistics Intermodal Freight Terminal, where she was met by Malcohm Fisher, Site Manager, SCT Logistics, before viewing the departure of a freight train from the facility and meeting with staff.

Later, the Governor visited the Horsham SmartFarm, where she was met by Simone Warmer, Head of Agriculture Science and Technology, Agriculture Victoria, before being escorted on a tour of the facilities including the Australian Grains Genebank, the Plant Protein Hub, and the Plant Pathology hub.

In the afternoon, the Governor visited the Wimmera Cancer Centre, where she was met by Dale Fraser, CEO, Grampians Health, before meeting with patients and staff.

Following this, the Governor attended an afternoon tea with volunteers and community members affected by the bushfires in Grass Flat, Natimuk, Quantong and Vectis in January 2026.

Then, the Governor visited the Horsham Regional Art Gallery, where she was met by Michelle Rethus, Creative Services and Events Lead, Horsham Rural City Council before being escorted on a tour of exhibition.

In the morning at Government House, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, representing the Governor, hosted The King’s Trust Australia Young Entrepreneurs Graduation Ceremony, where he delivered an address to mark the occasion.

Wednesday, 24 June

Continuing a Regional Visit of Yarriambiack Shire, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited Murtoa Neighbourhood House, where she was met by Claire Bibby and Gill Elliott, Co-Managers, before being escorted on a tour of the building, assisting in the packing of ‘Meals on Wheels’ deliveries, and meeting with members of the Men’s Shed.

Following this, the Governor visited the Murtoa Stick Shed, where she was met by Sally Taylor, Chair, Murtoa Stick Shed Management Committee, before receiving a walking briefing from volunteers.

Concluding a Regional Visit of Yarriambiack Shire, the Governor visited GrainCorp Murtoa, where she was met by Jason Shanley, Head of National Operations, GrainCorp, before touring the facility including the sample stand and storage bunkers.

Commencing a Regional Visit of Horsham Rural City, the Governor met with Councillor Brian Klowss, Mayor, Horsham Rural City Council, before receiving a briefing from Councillors and the Council Executive.

Then, the Governor visited Longerenong College, where she was met by Darren Webster, CEO, Skill Invest, and Denise McLellan, General Manager, Longerenong College, before being escorted on a tour of the campus including the Wool Training Centre and Data Farm Centre, and meeting with staff and students.

Later, the Governor visited Goolum Goolum Aboriginal Cooperative, where she was met by John Gorton, General Manager and Tony Craig, CEO, before being welcomed with a smoking ceremony, receiving a briefing on operations, and being escorted on a tour of the facilities.

Tuesday, 23 June

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following this, the Governor commenced a Regional Visit of Yarriambiack Shire, where she was met by Councillor Andrew McLean, Mayor, and Tammy Smith, CEO, Yarriambiack Shire Council, before receiving a briefing.

Then, the Governor visited QA Hay, where she was met by Scott Somers and Paul Johns, Co-Founders, before touring the facility.

Later, the Governor visited the Rupanyup Silo Art, where she was met by Carmel Healy, President, Rupanyup Progress Association.

In the evening, the Governor visited Woods’ Farming and Heritage Museum, where she was met by Adrian Tyler OAM, Volunteer, before being escorted on a tour of the museum.
