The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the call of Dame Susan Langley DBE, Lady Mayor of London, Mayoral Consort Gary Langley, and Oonagh Lewis, Acting British Consul General.
In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Scarlet Lee, Youth Governor of Victoria, Kaitlin Woolford, Program Director, and Michael Delaney, Youth Leadership & Development Manager, YMCA Victoria.
In the evening, the Governor, as Patron-in-Chief, hosted a reception to mark the 70th anniversary of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.

Following this, the Governor, as Patron, hosted the Australian Red Cross Victoria Awards where she presented recipients with their awards and delivered an address to mark the occasion.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the St Kilda Shule ahead of the Jewish festival of Shavuot. There she met with Rabbi Yaakov Glasman, Senior Rabbi, Dr Silviu Itescu, President, St Kilda Hebrew Congregation, and Naomi Levin, Chief Executive Officer, Jewish Community Council of Victoria.
Later, the Governor received the call of Nick Palmer, Chair, and Helen White, Chief Executive Officer, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Australia.

While on an Official Visit to China, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, departed Shanghai for Chengdu.
Following this, the Governor officially opened IDP’s IELTS test centre in Chengdu, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.
In the afternoon, the Governor was received by His Excellency Mr Wang Xiaohui, Party Secretary of Sichuan Province for an official call.
In the evening, the Governor was the guest of honour at a dinner to mark the 10th anniversary of the Victoria-Sichuan sister state relationship, hosted by His Excellency Mr Wang Xiaohui, Party Secretary of Sichuan Province.
Then, the Governor then attended a performance by Paul Grabowsky AO and Mindy Meng Wang in partnership with the Melbourne International Jazz Festival at the Chengdu City Concert Hall.
Wednesday 13 May
While on an Official Visit to China, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received a briefing from John Williams, Australian Consul-General to Shanghai and John Madew, Deputy Consul General and Senior Trade Commissioner in Shanghai.
Following this, the Governor visited Florentia Village, where she was escorted on a tour before meeting with members of the executive team.
In the afternoon, the Governor met with Mr Lu Shan, Vice Mayor of Shanghai.
In the evening, the Governor visited Vic House, Victoria's premium trade showroom, where she was escorted on a tour by the Deputy Director-General of Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office, before attending a ‘Friends of Victoria’ event, where she addressed an audience of business stakeholders, alumni, and members of the Australian and Victorian community in Shanghai.
In Victoria, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, representing the Governor, hosted a reception to mark the 95th anniversary of the Good Friday Appeal, where he gave an address to mark the occasion.
Tuesday, 12 May
While on an Official Visit to China, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, departed Nanjing for Suzhou.
In the morning, the Governor visited Basecare, a medical company founded by a University of Melbourne alumnus located within BioBAY, where she received a briefing on the company and toured the research and manufacturing facilities.
Following this, the Governor met with Mr Wang Wei, Mayor of Suzhou and was guest of honour at a luncheon hosted by the Mayor and the Municipal Government of Suzhou.
In the afternoon, the Governor visited the Monash Research Institute Suzhou, where she witnessed the signing of the second five-year agreement between Monash University and Suzhou Industrial Park and delivered an address to mark the occasion.
Following this, the Governor attended a boardroom discussion with Monash University representatives, students, alumni and industry partners.
In the evening, the Governor departed Suzhou for Shanghai.

While on an Official Visit to China, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited Kangni Mechanical and Electrical Co., where she was escorted on a tour of the manufacturing facilities.
Later, the Governor visited the Melbourne-Nanjing Sports Rehabilitation Centre.
In the evening, the Governor was the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by His Excellency Mr Liu Xiaotao, Governor of Jiangsu Province.
In the morning at Government House, graduates from the Department of Premier and Cabinet and the Department of Government Services visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

While on an Official Visit to China, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, departed Hong Kong for Nanjing.
Upon arrival in Nanjing, the Governor visited the Nanjing City Wall, hosted by representatives from the Jiangau Provincial Government.
In the evening, the Governor was the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by Madam Zhang Yizhen, Chairwoman of Jiangsu Provincial Political Consultative Conference.

While on an Official Visit to China, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received a briefing from Victoria’s Commissioner to Greater China, Mr Leigh Howard.
Following this, the Governor attended a breakfast hosted by the Asia Society, where she gave an address.
Following this, the Governor met with The Honourable Chan Kwok-ki, Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong and Mr Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong.
In the afternoon, the Governor received a briefing from Gareth Williams, Australian Consul-General to Hong Kong and Macau.
Later, the Governor met with Beau Kuok, Chairman, Kerry Group.
In the evening, the Governor attended an Alumni Reception, where she addressed an audience of business stakeholders, alumni, and members of the Australian and Victorian community in Hong Kong.
In Victoria, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, representing the Governor, attended the 125th anniversary of the Opening of Federal Parliament of Australia, hosted by Museums Victoria at the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne.
