At the request of the Victorian Government, the Governor recently conducted an Official Visit to the United Arab Emirates and the United Kinddom.

This week the Vice-Regal program had a particular focus on international engagement, and on celebrating Victoria’s business and artistic communities.

A vital part of the role of the Governor is engagement with international stakeholders and jurisdictions. 

The Governor and Mr Howard have spent the week hosting visitors at Government House, as well as celebrating some significant events in Victoria. 

As Victoria passed its vaccination milestone, the Vice-Regal program continued this week in preparation for a return to in-person events.  

The Vice-Regal program this week had a focus on connecting with Victorian communities. 

This week the Governor continued to conduct meetings virtually, in line with the current health regulations. 

The Vice-Regal program continued virtually this week, as the Governor and Mr Howard continued to meet with representatives of many Victorian organisations.

This week, the Governor and Mr Howard having the opportunity to visit many organisations in and around Melbourne.

The Governor and Mr Howard visited the Australian Tapestry Workshop earlier today. 

This evening, the Governor gave the annual Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Asia lecture, and presented the Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Asia Medal in Melbourne.
