Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
During a regional visit for the 10 Year Anniversary of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM attended a civic reception in Horsham, before touring the Horsham CFA Fire Station and attending a community BBQ.
During a regional visit for the 10 Year Anniversary of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC visited Horsham, where they toured the Yanga Track Walk and attended a morning tea hosted by the Horsham Rural City Council, followed by the rebuilt Horsham Golf Club.
The Governor unveiled the Remembrance Rails and then attended an afternoon tea with Horsham community members.
During a regional visit for the 10 Year Anniversary of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC visited the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority in Ballarat.
They then met with the Councillors of the Northern Grampians Shire before visiting Central Park in Stawell and the Stawell Gift Hall of Fame.
During a regional visit for the 10th Anniversary of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC visited the town of Marysville and the Marysville Bushfire Memorial.
The Governor and Mr Howard then visited the Narbethong Bushfire Memorial and Narbethong Hall.
Later, the Governor and Mr Howard met with the Councillors and staff of the Yarra Ranges Shire Council before touring the Four Pillars Gin distillery and visiting the town of Healesville.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council before, with Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, departing on regional visit for the 10thAnniversary of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires. They visited the Kinglake, Kinglake West, Flowerdale and Toolangi-Castella Bushfire Memorials.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC hosted an afternoon tea for the Black Saturday Bushfire Bereaved Advisory Group.
The Hon. Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC attended the Australian Open Men’s Finals.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC attended a Flag Raising Ceremony, before hosting the Government House Australia Day Open House. They then attended the Australian Open Women’s Finals.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, received Lady Potter AC, Mr Simon Prior-Palmer and Lady Julia Lloyd George.
Later, the Governor received the YMCA Victoria Youth Parliament Program delegation.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, hosted a lunch with Ms Vanessa O’Neill, Consul General of New Zealand, before receiving the call of Mr Jim Miller, Chair, and Mr Michel Masson, CEO, Infrastructure Victoria.
