Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, welcomed students as part of Peace and Prosperity Kitchen Garden Scarecrow Program. They later hosted a reception and dinner for the 2018 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
On an official visit to Canberra, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, met with the Ambassador of Colombia, HE Mr Jaime Bueno-Miranda and then the Ambassador of Chile, HE Mr Patricio Powell, before the Governor addressed a group of Ambassadors at an official reception held at the residence of the Ambassador of Kuwait, HE Mr Najeeb Al-Bader.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, before, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosting the International School Students Welcome Reception.
The Governor and Mr Howard then departed for Canberra on official travel.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, received Air Commodore Glen Braz CSC DSM, RAAF Senior Airforce Officer Victoria and then Prof. Brendan Crabb AC, CEO and Director, Burnet Institute.
Later the Governor received Prof. Muhammad Yunas, 2016 Nobel Peace Laureate, Founder Grameen Bank and delegation.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, attended the Cultural Diversity Week Premier's Gala Dinner.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC and Mr Anthony Howard QC, toured the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre, before the Governor received Mr Carillo Gantner AO, Chairman, Sidney Myer Fund and founder of AsiaTOPA Arts Festival.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC received Dr Collette Burke, Victoria's Chief Engineer, then Mr Richard Andrews, Australian Ambassador to Ireland.
Later, the Governor, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a lunch for the Australia-China AFL Premiership Game and then a dinner in honour of Professor Eric Yim, Chairman, Hong Kong Design Centre.
Mr Howard led a tour of the State Apartments for students of the Michigan University Cooley Law School.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council before visiting the Melbourne Design Week exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.
Later, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, officially unveiled a portrait of Ross Gillies QC at the Peter O'Callaghan QC Gallery.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception in honour of Mr Ian Riseley OAM, President, Rotary Club International.
Mr Howard led a tour of the State Apartments for students from Maryborough Education Centre.
During a regional tour to Warrnambool and Moyne Shire, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, attended the 42nd Port Fairy Folk Festival.
