The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, was inaugurated as the 30th Governor of Victoria, at Parliament House.
Later, the Wurundjeri and Bunurong Traditional Owners conducted a Welcome to Country on the arrival of the Governor and Professor Davis to Government House. Following this, the Governor inspected a tri-service guard of honour.

Then, the Administrator and Mr Howard attended the Staff Farewell Lunch.
In the evening, the Administrator hosted an event for Victoria Police Liaison Officers.
