Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, continued an Official Visit to India in Delhi. They met with Professor Amitabh Mattoo of the Australia India Institute, before visiting the ASHA Foundation. They then met with the Lt Governor of the National Capital of India, before attending a reception hosted by the Australia India Institute, where the Governor spoke.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, participated in a Culture Walk, before travelling to Delhi and attending a dinner with Acting High Commissioner to India, Mr Chris Elstof.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon., Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC participated in a memorial service for victims of the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, before visiting Film City and meeting with Siddhartha Basu and Amitabh Bachchan.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon., Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, travelled to Mumbai, where they met with leaders of the Indian film industry.
On Friday, during an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, met with Professor Ajay Sood, Honorary Professor, Indian Institute of Science, before hosting an Innovation-Start Up Accelerator round table. The Governor then conducted a media interview regarding Melbourne being awarded the title of World's Most Liveable City for the 7th consecutive year.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, met with the Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Mr Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, before meeting the Deputy Consul General for South India, Mr Jon Bonnar. The Governor & Mr Howard then toured Infosys and BioCon. In Melbourne, LEUT. Natasha Jager represented the Governor at the National Police Remembrance Day March & Ceremony.

The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, then received Ms Harinder Sidhu, High Commissioner to India. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for the delegates of the 9th International Global Virus Network.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, attended the 2017 Brownlow Medal Vote Count and dinner. Mr Howard hosted a tour of Government House for National Trust of Victoria volunteers.
On Saturday, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, opened the 2017 Royal Melbourne Show. Later, they attended the farewell dinner for the Honourable Chief Justice Marilyn Warren AC.
