Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor received the call of the Honourable Richard Court AC, Ambassador-Designate to Japan, followed by the call of Ms Anthea Hancocks, Chief Executive Officer, Scanlon Foundation. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for the 10th Anniversary of the Red Dust Role Models, and later, received a delegation from Hainan Airlines Group.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, and later delivered the occasional address at the University of Melbourne Science Faculty Graduate Conferring of Degree Ceremony.
The Governor received the call of the Honourable Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria, followed by the call of Mr Robert Winther, Shrine of Remembrance Medal recipient 2016.
On Sunday, the Governor and Mr Howard attended the Sri Lankan Tamil Christian Church Carol Service.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC visited the Creature Technology Company. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard attended the Consular Corps Annual Gala Dinner.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC volunteered at the Salvation Army, and attended the National Gallery of Victoria Women's Association annual member's lunch. The Governor received the call of Tan Sri Dr Michael Yeoh, Chairman, World Chinese Economic Summit, and Mr William Lye, Principal Representative, World Chinese Economic Summit. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the 70th anniversary of the Victorian Council of Social Service.
The Governor received the call of HE Mr Zeng Peiyan, Vice Chairman and Mr Zhou Wenzhong, Secretary General, BOAO Forum for Asia, and Mr Zhao Jian, Consul-General of China. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception, followed by a dinner for the BOAO Forum for Asia Conference.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, followed by a call with Dr Bruce Kefford, Chairman, and Ms Mary Harney, CEO, Gardiner Dairy Foundation. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC visited STREAT. The Governor received the call of Mr Eduardo Frei, former President, HE Mr Daniel Carvallo, Ambassador and Mr Gabriel Jara Maldonado, Consul-General of Chile. The Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the Australian Tapestry Workshop 70th Anniversary.
The Governor received the call of Mr Andrew Greaves, Victorian Auditor-General, followed by the call of His Excellency Mr Paul Maddison, High Commissioner of Canada to Australia. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for delegates of the Australia India Leadership Dialogue. Later, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, spoke at the Australia-Chile Economic Leadership Forum Gala Dinner.
The Governor and Mr Howard hosted the 2016 Premier's Volunteer Champions Awards.
