While on an official visit to Singapore, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, received a briefing from Holly Butler, Victorian Deputy Commissioner to Singapore, before receiving a briefing from His Excellency Mr Allaster Cox, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore.

Then, the Governor, accompanied by Ms Butler, visited the Singapore Smart Nation CityScape exhibition to learn more about the role of technology in supporting the city state.

In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Ms Butler, met with Her Excellency Madam Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore, to discuss mutual interests between Victoria and Singapore.

Later, the Governor visited the new Victorian Government Trade and Investment Singapore Office to thank members of the team for their work contributing to Victoria’s economic growth.

In the evening, the Governor met with representatives from 67 Pall Mall to discuss Victoria’s world-class wine industry and 67 Pall Mall’s plans to increase their global footprint.

The Governor then concluded her official visit to the United Kingdom and departed for an official visit to Singapore.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, accompanied by Tim Dillon, Victoria’s Agent-General to the United Kingdom and Commissioner for Victoria in Europe, and staff from the UK Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office, participated in His Majesty The King’s Big Help Out Day, volunteering for the Children’s Book Project.

While on an official visit to the United Kingdom, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, accompanied by Mr Tim Dillon, Victoria’s Agent-General to the United Kingdom and Commissioner for Victoria in Europe, met with representatives from the Jenner Institute to lean more about their research and collaboration with Victorian universities and institutes.

Later, the Governor and Mr Dillon met with Mr Jim Wilkinson, Founder and Executive Director of Oxford Science Enterprises, to hear about the Oxford alumni initiative that supports university spin-outs.

Then, the Governor and Mr Dillon met with Dr Elizabeth Kiss, Warden of Rhodes House and current Victorian Rhodes Scholars to hear about their research.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Dillon met with Professor Sir John Wickers, Warden of All Souls College to hear more about their global strategic partnerships.

Following this, the Governor attended a tour of the Bodleian Library and discussed the opportunities for future collaboration. 

In the evening, the Governor gave an address to members of the Chief of Staff Association.

While on an official visit to the United Kingdom, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, received a briefing from Tim Dillon, Victoria’s Agent-General to the United Kingdom and Commissioner for Victoria in Europe.

Then, the Governor attended a presentation by the Duchy of Cornwall on Poundbury, an urban extension in Dorset that is supported by His Majesty The King.

Later, the Governor, accompanied by Tim Dillon, Dominic Richards OAM, Prince’s Trust Board Member and Jason Bowman, Estate Development Manager, took a tour of Poundbury and its design.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, departed the State of Israel to begin an official visit to the United Kingdom.

While on an official visit to Israel, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, met with Professor Ariel Porat, President of Tel Aviv University, and other university representatives to discuss the current and future relationship between Victorian universities and Tel Aviv University. 

Later, the Governor met with representatives from tourism and aviation industry to discuss collaboration opportunities between Victoria and Israeli businesses.

In the afternoon, the Governor met with His Excellency Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, to discuss opportunities for increased collaboration between Victoria and the State of Israel.

In the evening, the Governor, attended a dinner with notable Victorians and representatives of local Israeli start-ups to strengthen their links with Victoria.

While on an official visit to Israel, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, visited the Park of the Australian Soldier in Be'er Sheva which was made possible by the generosity of the Pratt Foundation. 

Later, the Governor visited the Be'er Sheva Anzac Memorial Centre and heard from volunteers about the World War One military campaign. 

Then, the Governor met with AFL Europe teams from Israel, Australia and the UAE at the Be'er Sheva Commonwealth War Cemetery to their respects to the fallen soldiers.

In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Dr Ralph King, Australia's Ambassador to Israel, attended the first AFL international tournament. The game formed a part of Anzac commemorations. The Governor addressed the crowd and tossed the coin at the start of the game.
