Later the Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended the official opening of An Illumination: the Rothschild Prayer Book at The University of Melbourne; they then attended the Melbourne Hospital Neuroscience Foundation 22nd Annual Gala Dinner.
The Governor assisted on a SecondBite Food van run at various locations across Melbourne. Later, the Governor launched the 2015 Melbourne Legacy Week at The Hotel Windsor.

The Governor received a call from Mr Senta Morioka Vice-Governor of Aichi Prefecture, Mr Takashige Sugiura, Vice Chairperson of the Aichi Prefectural Assembly and members of their delegations. The Governor and Judge Howard later hosted a reception to mark the 35th Anniversary of Victoria's Sister State relationship with Aichi Prefecture followed by a dinner in honour of Mr Morioka.
