While on an Official Visit to France, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, met with John Denton AO, Secretary-General, International Chamber of Commerce to discuss the 14th World Chambers Congress to be held later this year in Melbourne.
Following this, the Governor and Professor Davis received a briefing from Lynette Wood, Ambassador for Australia to France at the Australian Embassy.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Professor Davis visited Safran’s Research and Development centre, where they received a briefing on the company’s defence and aviation technology and operations in Victoria.
Later, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Petit Palais, one of Paris’ leading public galleries.
In the morning at Government House, members of the Plenty Probus Club visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.
