The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, received the call of Sam Hay KC, President of the Victorian Bar.

Later, the Governor received the call of Professor Tim Entwisle, Director and Chief Executive of the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria.

The Governor then received the call of Seb Chan, Director and CEO of the Australia Centre for the Moving Image.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC attended a reception for new appointments to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia at the Commonwealth Law Courts.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, Mr Anthony Howard AM KC led a tour of the State Apartments for the Royal Children’s Hospital Trans & Gender Diverse Young People and Families.

Finally, the Governor met with Paul Little AO, Chairman and Andrew Westacott, CEO of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, hosted an afternoon tea for female judges from Afghanistan.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, visited the Elmore Temporary Accommodation Village, before meeting with Cr Rob Amos, Mayor, Pauline Gordon, CEO, and members of the Campaspe Shire Council for a briefing on the October floods and tour of flood-affected areas in Rochester.

Later, the Governor and Mr Howard met with members of the Rochester Country Fire Authority, SES, and Victoria Police.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, commenced an Official Visit to the City of Greater Bendigo and Campaspe Shire.

To begin the visit, the Governor and Mr Howard visited The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, before visiting MSD Animal Health.

Later, the Governor and Mr Howard met with Cr Andrea Metcalf, Mayor, and Craig Niemann, CEO, City of Greater Bendigo.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, received the call of and hosted a lunch for Dominic Richards OAM, Trustee of the Prince’s Trust Australia.

Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, hosted Novak Djokovic, winner of the Australian Open 2023 Men’s Final.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, attended the Australian Open Women’s Final.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, hosted the Australia Day Flag-Raising Ceremony.

Later, the Governor and Mr Howard welcomed visitors to Government House for the January Open Day.
