In the evening, the Governor hosted the Royal Historical Society of Victoria’s 115th Anniversary Reception.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, hosted the Posthumous Honorary Doctorate Conferral Ceremony for the Honourable Simon Crean AC.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, the Governor attended the 2024 Australian Financial Review Higher Education Awards Dinner, where she received the Lifetime Achievement Award and delivered a keynote address.
