The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC then hosted the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards before the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, delivered the October Lecture, as part of the Dean's Lecture Series, at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, presided over the Swearing-In of the Honourable Anne Ferguson, as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria, and then hosted a dinner in her honour.
Mr Howard conducted a tour of the State Apartments for members of U3A Nunawading Network.

They then met with the Honourable Satya Pal Singh, Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Higher Education), and the Honourable Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State for Urban Planning and Housing. Later, they attended a Creative Industries reception & the Woolmark's fashion event, both hosted by the Acting High Commissioner.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, continued an Official Visit to India in Delhi. They visited the Indian Diaspora Centre, and attended a Science & Innovation Forum hosted by RMIT University. They then met with Ms Anupriya Patel, the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, before attending a reception with the Australia India Youth Dialogue, where the Governor spoke.

They met with Professor Amitabh Mattoo of the Australia India Institute, before visiting the ASHA Foundation. They then met with the Lt Governor of the National Capital of India, before attending a reception hosted by the Australia India Institute, where the Governor spoke.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, participated in a Culture Walk, before travelling to Delhi and attending a dinner with Acting High Commissioner to India, Mr Chris Elstof.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon., Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC participated in a memorial service for victims of the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, before visiting Film City and meeting with Siddhartha Basu and Amitabh Bachchan.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon., Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, travelled to Mumbai, where they met with leaders of the Indian film industry.
On Friday, during an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, met with Professor Ajay Sood, Honorary Professor, Indian Institute of Science, before hosting an Innovation-Start Up Accelerator round table. The Governor then conducted a media interview regarding Melbourne being awarded the title of World's Most Liveable City for the 7th consecutive year.
During an Official Visit to India, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, & Mr Anthony Howard QC, met with the Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Mr Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, before meeting the Deputy Consul General for South India, Mr Jon Bonnar. The Governor & Mr Howard then toured Infosys and BioCon. In Melbourne, LEUT. Natasha Jager represented the Governor at the National Police Remembrance Day March & Ceremony.
