While on an Official Visit to France, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, attended a breakfast at the French Senate hosted by Senator Florence Blatrix-Contat, President, and members of the France-Australia Friendship Group.

Then, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Australian National Memorial and the Sir John Monash Centre in Villers Bretonneux, where they met with Ben Daetwyler, Director, Sir John Monash Centre.

The Governor and Professor toured the centre and lunched with staff and volunteers.

The Governor laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Victoria at the Australian National Memorial.

Later, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Victoria School in Villers-Bretonneux, where they met with the Mayor and School President.

The Governor toured the school and the Franco-Australian Museum.

In the morning at Government House, members of EPA Victoria visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

In the afternoon, students from Divrei Emineh School visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

While on an Official Visit to France, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, met with Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Following this, the Governor and Professor Davis met with Valérie Pécresse, President of the Region Île-de-France.

Then, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Grand Paris Express project, where they received a briefing and observed tunnelling and new station installation works as part of the expansion of the Paris Metro.

In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Davis, was guest of honour at a ‘Friends of Victoria’ event at the Australian Embassy, hosted by Lynette Wood, Ambassador of Australia to France, where the Governor addressed an audience of business stakeholders, alumni, and members of the Australian and Victorian community in Paris.

In Victoria, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the morning at Government House, participants from Roxburgh Park and Roxburgh Rise Community Hubs visited for the Kitchen Garden Program. 

While on an Official Visit to France, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, met with John Denton AO, Secretary-General, International Chamber of Commerce to discuss the 14th World Chambers Congress to be held later this year in Melbourne.

Following this, the Governor and Professor Davis received a briefing from Lynette Wood, Ambassador for Australia to France at the Australian Embassy.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Professor Davis visited Safran’s Research and Development centre, where they received a briefing on the company’s defence and aviation technology and operations in Victoria.

Later, the Governor and Professor Davis visited the Petit Palais, one of Paris’ leading public galleries.

In the morning at Government House, members of the Plenty Probus Club visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, arrived in Paris to begin an official visit to France.

In the afternoon, the Governor received a briefing from Gönül Serbest, Commissioner for Victoria to Europe.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, departed Victoria on an Official Visit to France. 

In the morning at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the gardens. 

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, met with Joshua Puls MVO, Deputy Secretary, Public Administration, and Rob Holland, Executive Director, Economic Development and International, Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Following this, the Governor received the call of Karen Parr, CEO, BioMelbourne Network.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the virtual call of Her Excellency Dame Sarah MacIntosh DCMG, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom and Steph Lysaght, Consul-General of the United Kingdom.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following this, the Governor received the call of Simon Phemister, Chair, Hannah Fox and Gideon Obarzanek, Co-Artistic Directors and Co-CEOs, RISING.

Then, the Governor received the call of Anna Schulze, Director of Corporate Government and External Affairs, CSL.

In the morning at Government House, participants from Roxburgh Park and Roxburgh Rise Community Hubs visited for the Kitchen Garden Program. 

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the call of Janet Whiting AM, President, Council of Trustees of the National Gallery of Victoria.

In the morning at Government House, members of the St Joseph’s Anima Parish Group Chelsea visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.
