The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, attended the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix, Albert Park Circuit, where she met with Travis Auld, CEO, Australian Grand Prix Corporation, before being escorted to the Victoria Suite.

Following this, the Governor was escorted to the Chairman’s Suite, where she met with the Honourable Martin Pakula, Chair, Australian Grand Prix Corporation and other Board Members, before participating in the pre-race ceremony and observing the race.

In the morning at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments, and members of the public visited for a guided tour of the gardens.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the welcome call of Her Excellency Beate Grzeski, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany and Dr Markus Ederer.

Then, the Governor, as Patron, visited the Vasey RSL V Centre, where she met with Michael O’Meara OAM, Board Chair, and Janna Voloshin, CEO, Vasey RSL Care.

Following this, the Governor was escorted on a tour of the V Centre before attending a morning tea with staff and veterans.

In the evening, the Governor hosted a welcome reception to mark the 2025 Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix, where she gave a speech to mark the occasion.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the call of Jennifer Byrne and Andrew Denton.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, hosted a welcome reception for the inaugural ARC Asia-Pacific Summit in Melbourne, where he gave a speech to mark the occasion.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, attended the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival Grand Showcase at the Royal Exhibition Building, where she met with Launa Inman, Chair and Caroline Ralphsmith, Chief Executive Officer, Melbourne Fashion Festival, before viewing the Grand Showcase: Steven Khallil Runway.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the call of The Honourable Chief Justice Richard Niall, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Victoria.

Then, the Governor hosted the swearing-in of the Honourable Justice Adrian Finanzio as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the welcome call of Dimitra Georgantzoglou, Consul-General of Greece.

In the evening, the Governor hosted a dinner in honour of Professor Duncan Maskell and Dr Sarah Maskell.

In the afternoon at Government House, participants from the Pathway for Players with Disability - Para Standing Tennis program visited for the Tennis Program.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, hosted an International Women’s Day Event for senior leaders in the Victorian Public Service, where she delivered an address before participating in a panel discussion.

The panel consisted of Jenny Atta PSM, Secretary, Department of Health, and Peta McCammon, Secretary, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and was moderated by Brigid Monagle, Commissioner, Victorian Public Sector Commission.

Following this, the Governor received the call of Chris Russell, Director and Chief Executive, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria.

In the afternoon, the Governor, as Patron, received the call of Simone Carson AM, Co-Founder, and Daniel Moorfield, CEO, SecondBite.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following this, the Governor visited Ego Pharmaceuticals, where she met with Alan Oppenheim, Managing Director, and Dr Jane Oppenheim, Scientific and Operations Director, before touring facilities including the manufacturing plant, laboratory and Zorzi Innovation Centre.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of the Honourable Martin Pakula, Chairman, and Travis Auld, CEO, Australia Grand Prix Corporation.

Then, the Governor received the call of Tim Ada, former Secretary, Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, welcomed members of Hindmarsh Shire Youth Council to Government House, visiting for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.
