The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, met with the Honourable Danny Pearson MP, Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs, and Minister for Finance.

In the morning at Government House, members of the Traralgon Combined Probus Group visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments and Kitchen Garden.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the call of Kristen Hammond, President, and Tim Ryan, CEO, Lord Somers Camp and Power House.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Brett Hosking, Chair and President, Victorian Farmers Federation.

In the evening, the Governor hosted a reception to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fitted for Work, where she delivered an address to mark the occasion.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following this, the Governor, as Patron of St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria, visited Ozanam House, where she met with Michael Quinn, State President, St Vincent de Paul Society, before being escorted on a tour of the facilities and meeting with volunteers.

Later, the Governor visited the Royal Children’s Hospital, where she met with Dr Rowena Coutts, Chair, and Dr Peter Steer, CEO, before viewing a demonstration in the Simulation Centre.

Then, the Governor was escorted to the Royal Children’s Hospital Historical Room,  before visiting the Cockatoo Ward where she met with staff and patients.

Following this, the Governor received the welcome call of Pradeepa Seram, Consul-General of Sri Lanka.

In the evening, the Governor hosted the Governor of Victoria Startup Awards, where she delivered an address and presented recipients with their awards.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, met with the Honourable Chief Justice Richard Niall, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Victoria, and the Honourable Justice Karin Emerton, President of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Victoria, before hosting the swearing-in of the Honourable Justice Melinda Richards as a Judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Honourable Chief Judge Amanda Chambers as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Following this, the Governor welcomed Scarecrow Program participants from Yarrabah School and Hume Valley School to Government House.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Nye Coffey, Victorian State Manager, Australian Electoral Commission, to certify Victorian Senators to serve in the Senate of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, returned to Victoria, concluding their Official Visit to the United Kingdom.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, accompanied by Professor Glyn Davis AC, met with Tim Dillon, Agent-General for Victoria to the United Kingdom and Commissioner to Europe.

While on an Official Visit to the United Kingdom, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, and Professor Glyn Davis AC, visited Lord’s Cricket Ground where they were escorted on a tour and received a briefing on plans to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first test match played between Australia and England in 2027.

Following this, the Governor and Professor Davis attended a ‘Friends of Victoria’ event at Lord’s Cricket Ground, where the Governor addressed an audience of business stakeholders, alumni, and members of the Australian and Victorian community in London.

In Victoria, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, represented the Governor at the Victorian Aboriginal Remembrance Service at the Shrine of Remembrance, where he laid a wreath of behalf of the people of Victoria.
